Rachel Snowling was born in Belfast on 8 December 2006. Her dad, Gary Mitchell, taught her how to write songs and play guitar; she excelled at both quickly and gave her first live performance four months later in 2024, aged 17. From the beginning, Rachel chose to perform her own songs rather than covers, building a reputation as an original artist with a sound rooted mainly in country music, alongside gospel songs.
